Can I use my licence in a development environment?

Yes. If your domain is localhost (with any port), it will be treated as a localhost domain without counting towards your site linit.

Additionally, all of our licences allow you to use them on staging or development domains without counting towards your site activations limit. However, your domain name must reflect one of the allowed TLDs or Subdomains.

TLDs that are considered as dev or staging:

• *.dev.cc (DesktopServer)
• *.test
• *.local
• *.staging
• *.example

• *.myftpupload.com (GoDaddy)
• *.cloudwaysapps.com (Cloudways)

If you want to utilize a license on a dev site that doesn’t fit the criteria listed above you can deactivate the license from within the Plugin Settings page in the WordPress Admin dashboard -> License & Account tab, and then reuse the license in other site.
